I am so sorry to hear this news. I realize Chino died a few years ago, but I did not know. We were in touch until 2019, and then the communication dried up. I kept trying to find information about how he was online and could not find any. I finally happened upon his obituary. So I apologize for my late condolences. Chino was my college boyfriend. I loved his sense of humor, his kindness, and his sense of adventure. He located me in 2014 and surprised me by showing up to one of my concerts! It was incredible to see him after so many years. He had not changed. At the time, I was dealing with a critically ill cat (who ended up surviving). Chino was so supportive through that trauma. What a wonderful human being. I'm so lucky to have known him. I'll try to locate some photos. My condolences to the Rodriguez Family. 

Dear Barbara and Rodriguez Family, my children and I were  so heartboken to hear of Ricardo's passing. He was an amazing neighbor to all of us on Sheldon Street.  He was kind and helpful, had an infectious smile,  was so fun loving and an excellent role model for my kids. We have such fond memories of living next door to him and sharing so many good times. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him but how fortunate we were to have had him in our life for those years on Sheldon Street. Descanso en paz Ricardo! Dear Barbara, Marujita,  Julio, Angelique and all dear family and friends ( specially my former students from APS. 
There are people in our lives that can really be a light in the darkness, a breeze in a hot desert and a smile in a sea of tears, Chino was one of them. Even at his worst he was able to smile, that beautiful smile that start at the corner of his eyes and finish at our hearts. For more than 3 decades he was always present, my student became my teacher and my friend. It has hit me really hard and he will be so deeply missed. In our hope and faith we will gather around God without pain only with love. 
Hasta pronto mi querido niño, recuerda que en mi corazón siempre serás mi niño amado.

You are all in our thoughts and prayers. We we were at Mass earlier and will be in our parish church at 12 following the prayers being said there at the Mass for Ricardo. We will be praying that he is at peace in the arms of our Lord. We all loved Ricardo and are so sorry for your loss.
We have many special memories of Ricardo and Barbara together.
He had a big heart and it’s fitting that today is the Feast of the Sacred Heart.
