I am sorry to hear of the passing of your Father. I have been trying, unsuccessfully, to contact him via FB messenger and happened up the video of the Memorial service on his page. 
He and I first met when he had a shop up by the road at The Warehouse back in 1988 and I had a studio loft apartment on the backside of the building. We became friends and worked together on some projects, me mostly doing the photo needs he required for some of his projects. I traveled a bit with him, once to the IBM facility in the N.E. Anyway, you were just a little tyke back then, perhaps 4 or so and then your sister came along.
I eventually moved away from the Warehouse and our paths never crossed again until about a year and a half ago when I invited him to come to my home here in Florida and he stayed for a few weeks and then he moved on to NC and then back to PR. I have no idea what caused his death, I suppose it's not really important but the main reason I'm writing this note that I hope you will one day read and that is to say he was a good man. A good person. And most importantly I want you to know how much he fondly spoke of you and in conversations it was nothing but abundantly clear to me how much he really loved you and of course your sister, Caroline. The world has been left a better place with him having lived on it. Oddly, today, I just found out that my step-Mother (84) passed away up in Virginia and a distant relative called the day after to inform me. She had been sick for over 4 months but none of my brothers or sister called to tell me. So I find myself mourning the loss of your Dad more sad quite frankly. Perhaps, but I suppose not, one day we will meet but at least I've had this opportunity to let you know, from a complete stranger, just how much your Father loved you. There is a human bond that connects us all... it may be like a delicate thread, but in special times it becomes like a line of steel that helps bind us, one to another. 
This strand makes our sorrows more bearable and in the long run it really is what matters. Rob will be missed by his family and friends, but the thread of our human bonds will always keep some part of him with us... I pray it will be an added source of comfort at this time of grief to know how much others care.

I met Rob in middle school. I loved staying over his house or hanging out because all our friends from middle school lived in his huge neighborhood. He lived by everyone and I will always remember him as being a supportive genuine friend to me. 

I met Robert while working in Chandler, AZ. A kind man with a good heart. Rest in peace Robert. You will be missed. 

Met Rob as a volunteer aboard DD 850. Such a kind man with a Big Heart. He will be missed by many. RIP Rob

Hey Rob, I am so sorry to the alleged news of your passing. We had many good times together during your two many year shifts as my roommate. We were the perfect Oscar and Felix couple, two divorced dads struggling to get by under a system stacked against us. I was constantly making the mess, you were relentlessly cleaning up. I got you some jobs, and you got me some jobs. Even if you didn't always pay rent, we had some great times together. Until I see your body, I am still in disbelief, but in any case, we will meet in Sto vo cor. Thanks for all the great times. Terry 

Fond memories when  Rob came to Blue Mountain Lake and generously shared his talents and friendship with my family and friends. Rob spent an entire afternoon repairing our canoe. Had great sense of humor and very creative mind. Grace and Peace David Williams.
