Abuelito querido, se que nos estás velando desde el cielo junto a tu amada, nuestra Abuela bella. Te extraño y te quiero por siempre. Te guardo en my corazón. 

Un año de tu partida y la siento como si fuera ayer.y aunque a mis casi 40 años tenga todavía en mi mente muchas dudas y preguntas que se quedarán toda mi vida sin respuestas se que hiciste por mi lo que pudistes.

Hace un año que no oimos tu voz en vivo pero la escuchamos muy de cerca cuando nos recordamos de tus chistes, tus anecdotas del army y tus enseñanzas. Es muy triste no poder oirte pero sabemos que estas en un lugar muy especial. Te queremos y te recordamos.

Dios te tenga en la gloria por fin sali de esta incertidumbre pero al llamar y tener tu tel fuera de servicio supe que algo no andaba bien ,  por lo menos en febrero cuando hablamos me hechaste tu bendición y la guardo con tantos y muchos recuerdo que tengo de ti . A Dios le doi gracias por las cositas que aprendí de ti y aunque la vida no siempre es justa nos da valiosas lecciones (papi Vicente) asi te llamaba y tus nietos (lilo) desde el cielo tengo un angel mas que me cuida.....Dios bendiga tu descendencia Saludos a Carme Vicentito y Charlie los amo y estan siempre en mis oraciones.......

In 5th grade there was a Florida State Oration contest. A student was picked by a series of speech competitions from the class level to the district level to compete. The topic was "Overcoming Obstacles" and we had to choose a person that fit that description.  I chose and wrote my speech about Abuelo Vicente because I knew there was a lot to his story. I was honored to win from my class but got eliminated on the school level.  He was always a good sport, possesed a giving heart, always had jokes, and was extremely intelligent.  His legacy speaks volumes as represented in my family.  So many good things in my life are in existence because of him.  Rest in Paradise besos de Coco.

Ay Papi, a la verdad que fuiste “un guayabo fuerte” hasta el final. Doy gracias a Dios por haber compartido muchos momentos importantes de mi vida contigo y estar allí  en el momento de tu partida . Se que en este momento te rodean los que se fueron antes: los abuelos, tíos , Mami , Nitza y con la promesa de vernos un día, deseo que como cantabas las décimas con tu “pié  forsao “... Y estaré cantando aquí hasta  el otro día , volver a cantar contigo. ¡Sabes que te quiero!

Tio Vice, great man you will be truly missed by all.

My beloved grandfather was funny, handsome, witty, poetic, hard working, giving, loving and caring. I always remember him sitting so patiently as I combed his hair into a “rocker” style faux hawk. All my life I was mesmerized watching him peel oranges, so gently and carefully, so that the peel was intact when he was done. He would hand it to me so I could wrap it around my wrist as if it were jewelry. He always had a joke ready to go, and a poem or song for every situation. He just wanted to make us  happy, and he did. He was a wonderful grandfather and great-grandfather. I’m so grateful that he was mine for 33 years. Abuelo, you’re in my heart forever.

Our awesome father left us to be with the Lord on 28 June 2019.  He was not only a great father, grandfather and great grandfather, he was also a great husband, brother, uncle, brother-in law and above all a great man that helped everyone that he encountered.  He will forever be loved and remembered.
