

Frederick W. Wardenburg Born 7/27/1926 in New York and died 8/11/2010 in California. As a young child, he moved to LaCrosse, WI, where he was raised and educated. He graduated from LaCrosse Central High in 1944 and was inducted into the U.S. Army in August 1944. He served with the 77th combat infantry division on Saipan, Okinawa, where he was awarded the Bronze Star, the Philippine Islands and the occupation of Japan. After being honorably discharged, he attended and graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. His lifelong interest and love of aviation was realized with his employment by Pan American World Airlines. Later, he joined Xerox Corporation, from which he retired as a Senior National Account Manager. He was a member of the Corinthian Yacht Club, Marin Men's Chorus and the Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity. He is survived by his wife, Mary Louise, son, Frederick H. Wardenburg (Heather), grand-daughters Kathryn and Amy Grace, his grandson, Frederick T. Wardenburg, his brother, Richard Wardenburg (Gloria) and six nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 21st at 2:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church, 1510 Fifth Avenue, San Rafael, CA.
