

King, James - Died peacefully, in his sleep, surrounded by loving caregivers at Nazareth House in San Rafael on Tuesday, April 28th 2015, after many health struggles in the last few months. He was born on September 23, 1923 in International Falls, Minnesota. He lettered in three sports in High School and went on to Notre Dame to play fullback and lineback. He entered the Marine Corps in July, 1943 and served in World War II as a 1st lieutenant in Tin Tsin and Beijing, China. He retired from the Marine Corps in 1949 and married the love of his life, Audrey Francis Krug. Soon after, Jim and Audrey moved to San Francisco. Jim finished his degree and received his Law Degree from University of San Francisco. Jim worked in Medical Malpractice for American Mutual and Marsh McLennan. After retiring from Marsh McLennan, Jim started his own consulting business. In 1977, Jim and Audrey moved to Tiburon. Jim was very social and outgoing and his strong Catholic faith helped him through his difficult years. He is survived by his daughters Lisa King of Anchorage and Carol King of Tiburon and his five grandchildren Henry Mosley (Crystal) of Las Vegas, Ted, Joe, Sarah and Audrey Mosley of Marin County and great granddaughter Kenzie Mosley of Las Vegas. He is predeceased by his wife of 48 years, Audrey Francis King; and by his parents Frank and Fern, brothers Joe and Don and sister Edna. Funeral mass will be held Monday, May 4 at 10:00 at St Hilary Church, Tiburon. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 2 from 3:00 to 5:00 (rosary at 4:15) at Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael.
