Joan Johnson Luchese

July 29, 1929-April 12, 2015

Joan Luchese of San Rafael, passed on to Heaven at The Redwoods in Mill Valley at the age of 85. Joan is survived by her daughters; Patty Johnson-Smith and Peggy Heath and her son-in-law, Jeff Heath. She is also survived by her grandsons; Eddie Smith (Fiona), Ricky Smith (Sierra) and Tom Luchese (Jennifer) and children, her granddaughter, Jessica Berkana (Palin) and their children; Nico and Griffin, along with many nieces and nephews. She will be remembered for her loving smile and endless love.

Joan was grateful for the unconditional love she was able to share with her cherished friends. Our special thanks to The Redwoods Health Care staff and Heartland Hospice for their wonderful care. She was our “Saint” as much as theirs. A celebration of Life will be held at Christ Presbyterian Church, 620 Del Ganado Road, San Rafael on June 6 at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Marin Literacy Program, P.O. Box 151080 San Rafael, CA 94915. Services entrusted to Keaton’s Mortuary.
