Josephine Pini Doyle Passing peacefully on February 13th to rejoin her husband of 73 years. Born Josephine Brunini in 1922, she was a lifetime Mill Valley resident and member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish. A 75 year membership in the Tamalpa Parlor Native Daughters began as a member of the Drum and Bugle Corps. After marriage to husband Francis A. Doc Doyle in 1941, she worked through the war years at Marinship. Becoming a mother in 1949 shifted her focus to homemaking, P.T.A., sewing, and participation with other mothers. In her midlife years regular weekend trips to her summer home in Lake Co. became the routine. The good times rolled and they were wonderful fun years. Known as "Jo" during her working years, she retired from the Corte Madera DMV office in 1982. Many great years following were spent with Doc and their many friends from Marin and Lake Counties. Later employed as the Service Greeter at Marin Honda, she was popular with customers and fellow employees who treated her as part of their family. Pini is survived by her son Joseph, daughter-in-law Vivian, her granddaughter Shelly, great granddaughter Samantha, sister Mary Wilson, and lifelong niece Helen DeCarlo. A funeral mass will be celebrated 10:00 AM Thursday, March 6th at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, in Mill Valley. A Private entombment will take place at Mt. Olivet cemetery. Reception Brunch to follow at Mill Valley Golf Course Clubhouse.
