June Grimm

June E. Grimm June Grimm, of San Rafael, CA died Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Marin General Hospital after a long illness. She was 87. Born June Elizabeth Holub on June 1, 1923 in Chico, CA to Joy and Mable Holub and niece to Susie Miller. She graduated from Chico High School, Chico State University and taught elementary school in Paradise, CA; Tucson, AZ and Redding CA. June was the devoted wife of the late Edward H. Grimm Jr. She and Ed were married in Chico in August 1952, lived in Redding, Hayward and moved to San Rafael in 1958. June enjoyed gardening and tending to her orchids. She was an avid reader, historian, enjoyed cooking, a good movie and her cat Suki. She enjoyed visiting the family home in Bolinas. She is survived by a daughter, Martha Grimm and a son, Scott Grimm, both of San Rafael. Arrangements are being handled by Keaton's Mortuary in San Rafael. There will be no services or memorials held, upon June's request. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Marin Humane Society, 171 Bel Marin Keys Blvd., Novato, CA 94949; American Cancer Society , 750 Lindaro Street, Suite 120, San Rafael, CA 94901; or donations to the charity of your choice.
