Monte, Monte Jnr., and Brian,    -  Memories of my cousin Margaret, are mainly of happy holidays during my youth, spent with the wonderful McGuire family in Rothesay.   Margaret always had time to listen, was such a kind and sweet natured person.  Such a sad loss.  My condolences to all her family,  and With sincere sympathy,

When I think of my dear cousin Margaret I am back in Rothesay once again with all my cousins.  
We were lucky having that time together although at the time we did not realise it.There was so much fun and laughter and to me Margaret was an important part of my childhood.

I can't think back on my growing up years on Berens Drive without thinking about the Mareovich family...such a big part of all that was fun in the neighborhood.  My sincerest condolences on your loss and hope that you can look back on a lifetime of memories and find great comfort in how wonderful a women Margaret was.

MY SISTER MARGARET

My sister Margaret was such a devoted and loving wife to Monte and a great mother to her boys. All of them, I am sure, appreciate just how much she gave to them. I know that Brian and Monte Jnr have been a great source of help and support to her during the difficult period of her illness. She must have been very proud in having two loving, caring and capable sons.
When I look at some old photographs of Margaret, with Mum and my other sisters Marie and Pat, memories come flooding into my mind and I think of what a strong loving family we were. Mum, of course, held us all together and gave us an excellent basic upbringing. We were so fortunate in living in Rothesay during our formative years.  Although I was several years younger than my sisters, I do remember the smashing summer holidays when our cousins would come down from Glasgow. We did have some joyous times with fun and laughter. Again, even with our cousins, our family seemed to have very close bonds which many other families did not appear to have. This is still true today; as is shown by the number of emails and cards received expressing condolences but also remembering the good times with a laughing, smiling yet caring cousin Margaret.  
When Margaret worked in Glasgow and I was still a young boy in Rothesay, she met me in the city to take me to a show in the Kelvin Hall. I still have the photo of both of us outside Kelvin Hall. That really was an exciting day for me.
Then there was the time when I was leaving home to have my first sea voyage in the Merchant Navy and Margaret met me at  Glasgow  station to get my train to Liverpool. There is a photo of me in my Merchant Navy uniform with Margaret alongside me.  These are just a few examples of how our family enjoyed one another's company and supported each other whenever we could.
When Margaret made the decision to move halfway round the world to work for the Wells Fargo Bank in San Francisco it added a new dimension to our family's life and we were so proud of her. Later, of course, she met Monte and began her new life as a Maroevich.
One last memory: I remember the time when I took Margaret out in the Sailing Club's dinghy (APTLY named JONAH). I was going to show off my sailing skills.  BUT unfortunately we got becalmed in the middle of Rothesay Bay and had to be towed back to the harbour by a small motor boat!!!
As yet I haven't mentioned the wonderful holidays Liz and I spent with Margaret and Monte in California over many years.
Our family will miss Margaret dearly but will treasure the wonderful memories of our times together.
