We were in the same grade at San Miguel Elementary School and when we were in the 5th (or 6th?) grade Otto was the paperboy who delivered the San Francisco News to my home where I lived with my grandmother and aunt at San Jose Ave by Lakeview.  He delivered the paper on his bicycle and he'd often stop to talk.  I admired Otto and cherished his visits.  I regret that our friendship didn't continue beyond grammar school and was happy to meet and chat with him again at the Balboa Class of Spring '56 sixtieth reunion.

I knew Otto when we were children in San Francisco.  We were in the same grade at San Miguel elementary school and I always admired Otto for his friendliness, unbiased attitude, his newspaper route and his brilliant blonde hair.  Otto delivered the paper to our house on San Jose Avenue and in front of my house is where I talked to him the Most.  I saw Otto & Kathleen at the 50-year reunion of our Balboa High School graduating class of 1956 and we chatted briefly.  I'm sure he didn't remember me as well as I remembered him.  Today (7/15/20) I decided to track Otto down and contact him to see if he'd be interested in talking with me about our childhoods.  I found Otto's address easily enough but when I googled his name I was saddened to learn he passed away on.  2/15/18.  My belated condolences to Otto's family.
