Richard "Dick" Endy

Richard "Dick" Endy Passed away on May 1, 2014. He was born in Allentown Pennsylvania on May 20, 1933, moving to California in 1954 to serve for the United States Air Force. He was stationed at Hamilton Field in Novato when he met his loving wife Shirley "Cork" Endy, marrying in 1957. Dick worked for the City of San Rafael where he was named Employee of the Year in 1986. He retired in 1992 as the Superintendent of Public works. Dick was a member of the San Rafael Elks Club, The SIRS Club Branch 22, The Tam Golf Club, The Marin Rod and Gun Club and both The Marin and Sonoma Model A car clubs. Dick enjoyed playing multiple rounds of golf each week, having brunch with his family every weekend, and vacationing on cruise ships. Dick is survived by his wife of 57 years, Cork Endy of San Rafael, two children: Doug Endy (Gina) of Rohnert Park, Debbie Endy-Koffler (Kelly) of Cotati, and three grandchildren: Anthony "AJ" Endy, Steven Endy, and Kaylee Koffler. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Hospice of Marin, 17 E. Sir Francis Drake Blvd., Larkspur, CA 94939. A celebration of Dick's life will be held on May 9, 2014 at McInnis Golf Club at 350 Smith Ranch Road in San Rafael at 1:00 PM. Keaton's Mortuary serving the family.
