Returning from his time serving in the Second World War with Medals and Honors from the Battle of the Bulge, and a diploma from the Officer Candidate School, Richard married the beautiful love of his life, Patricia, and raised 7 children with her. Richard ran his own Insurance and Real Estate Firm, Savelli & Co, for 65 years, in San Francisco. Family and friends will remember him for his slicing wit, his love of Giants Baseball and devotion to the 49ers, and his Italian charm. Richard was an ace on the bocce ball court up to the very end, and his hobbies included traveling to his favorite place, Lake Tahoe, working on puzzles, caring for his home, watching "Rat Pack" films, and charming the ladies. In short, he was a suave, charming, intelligent and musically inclined gentleman, who will forever be missed by his 7 children, 10 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren, along with all the other lives he has touched throughout his life. Family and friends are invited to attend a Rosary on Monday, May 23 at 7:00pm at Keatons Redwood Chapel of Marin, 1801 Novato Blvd., Novato and/or the Memorial Mass on Tuesday May 24 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Loretto Church, 1806 Novato Blvd. In memory of Richard's long life, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, or the charity of your choice.
