He graduated in 1955. His athletic accomplishments took him next to the City College of San Francisco Rams and then to the Cal Poly Mustangs to continue his football career. His teammates have been lifelong friends.
Ron embarked on his 37 year public service career in 1961 when he became a San Bruno Firefighter. He joined the San Francisco Fire Department in 1964 and became part of a brotherhood that gave him many of his most cherished friendships and memories. His career took him to among others Station 9 where he wore the moniker “Junkyard Dog” with pride. At the SFFD-Airport he served on the Dive and Rescue Team. He retired from service in 1998.
