Theresa was born in San Bernardino, California on February 29, 1948. She graduated from St. Bernadine High School and subsequently received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of San Francisco, and her Doctorate of Jurisprudence degree from San Francisco Law School. She married her husband of 44 years, Frederick T. Dietrich, Jr., on December 16, 1972.
Theresa was a member of the California State Bar and practiced workers’ compensation law, representing medical lien claimants, first at the law firm of Airola, Williams, Dietrich & Otis and then in her own firm, Law Office of Theresa McLean.
She is survived by her husband, Frederick “Rick” Dietrich; by her son, Andrew McLean Dietrich and his wife, Viara; by her daughter, Elisabeth McLean Dietrich and her husband, Shane Curran; by her grandchildren, Margaret (“Maggie”) Dietrich Curran (4), James Ivan Dietrich (3), and William Ivan Dietrich (4 wks); and by her brother-in-law, Bill Dietrich and his spouse, Mary Power.
Theresa, or “Cluny” as some knew her, had a passion for travelling, cooking, and her grandkids. She loved to laugh and laughed herself silly with each conversation. She was fun, kind, and a deeply caring person who profoundly touched her family and friends with her whit, wisdom, intellect, insight and love. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Funeral Arrangements are being held privately.
