Thomas Charles McNally III, 76, passed away peacefully on August 28th with his beloved partner, Benita Moore, by his side at their home in Larkspur, California. Born December 5, 1938 to Thomas and Claire McNally and raised in San Francisco, Tom graduated from St. Ignatius College Preparatory (class of 1956), University of San Francisco (class of 1960) and University of California, Hastings College of Law (class of 1963). A well-respected attorney in San Francisco, Tom spent his career in both the private sector and as general counsel for publicly held companies before moving into private practice. Tom was also actively involved in his community, as a founder of Mill Valley's Scott Valley Swimming & Tennis Club and as a board member for the Parks & Recreation Commissions in both Mill Valley and Larkspur. Tom was also a proud, lifelong (57 years) member and past director and officer of The Olympic Club. Tom is survived by his partner Benita Moore, children Megan Klopp (Mark), Martin (Stephanie) and Tevis and their mother Paula McNally, grand-children Caroline and Julia McNally and David Klopp, sister Patricia Healey (Donald), nephews Stephen, Brian, Trebor and Terry Healey, as well as Heidi, Chloe, Sophie and Ella Breider and Brian Moore. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 11th at 11:00 am at St. Ignatius Church in San Francisco (650 Parker Avenue). In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Tom's memory to St. Ignatius College Preparatory and the University of San Francisco, two alma maters for which he had great fondness.
