

KRUPA, Alfred "Duke" Age 92, of Sandwich, MA, died Monday July 7, 2025, born February 11, 1933, in South Boston, to the late Blanche (Powichrowska) and Ignacy Krupa. He was one of 10 siblings raised in the Polish neighborhood near Andrew Square.
He was the husband of Valerie P. (Gabrielle) Krupa. They just celebrated their 66th anniversary on June 14th.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Donna-Lynn Krupa and Eric Joseph Krupa both of East Sandwich, MA; nephew Todd W. Krupa, niece Paula O'Donnell, John A Krupa and many other nieces and nephews.
A graduate of Boston Technical High school and a Korean war veteran, Duke worked over five decades at the Boston Globe with Teamsters Local 259. Duke enjoyed life and travel. Duke was preceded in death by his siblings, John, William, Henry, Stanley, Leocadia, Helen, Frank, Mitchell, and Anthony.
Duke had a passion for Ethnic cooking that he shared with his nephew Todd. Also vacationing in tropical Hawaii or traveling through other Countries. Which he did with his beloved family.
Duke was a devoted family man with a special devotion to his wife and children. He made a lifetime commitment by dedicating his life to making sure his children were his priority, giving up many opportunities by caring for his daughter while his son had a multitude of disabilities still ongoing to this day.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at 12 noon on Monday, July 14, 2025 at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 154 Route 6A Sandwich, MA. Visitation 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery immediately following. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory can be made to the Sandwich Empowerment would be most welcomed.
