My mother was always proud of her Brooklyn, NY heritage. She said it made her tough and protective of her siblings! This toughness helped her cope as Alzheimer’s disease progressed and a broken hip in June then escalated her illness. Sadly, Mom passed away in her sleep early this past Monday morning. The consolation is that she is now reunited with our Dad Henry for eternity! He was the first love of her life and their dedication to each other was an inspiration to us all! We’ll all miss her more than we’ll ever know. She had many great qualities and we all feel privileged to call her “Mum”.

She leaves behind Laura (Mark), John, Jim (Mary), and Tom. Her son Joe passed away 8/16/23. Three grandchildren Caroline (Richie), Abigail (Kurt), and James (Andrea). She lost two grandchildren - Peter and Olivia. She has four great grandsons Will, Kingston, Owen, and Andrew Peter was born this year on May 28th. She leaves one sister Jane, and outlived her beloved sister Helen and brothers John, Matthew, and Jim.

We were in the process of making funeral plans for our brother Joe but now that Mom has passed we decided to combine their funeral mass to one. It’ll be held next Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 11AM. Corpus Christi Parish in East Sandwich. Visitation prior to mass 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 154 Route 6A Sandwich, MA. If you can come - please do!
