

Born in Boston, Anthony was the son of the late Walter and Petronello (Turskis) Yudis. He served his country in the US Army during WWII. Following his honorable discharge, Anthony began his employment with the Boston Globe as a reporter. He retired from the Globe in 1990 after a 30 year career.
Throughout his life, Anthony enjoyed playing tennis, spending time at his cottage in Plymouth and summering on the Cape. He enjoyed everything, and knew everything about Boston.
He is survived by his son Eric Yudis and wife Kathleen of Hanover, daughters Janet Philips and husband Thomas of Sandwich and Kristine Croteau of Duxbury. Also survived by 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was the father of the late Julie (Yudis) Porzio.
Anthony's Funeral will be held in the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 154 Route 6A, Sandwich, on Saturday at 11:30AM. A period of visitation will take place from 10:30AM until the time of the service. Relatives and friends invited. Private Burial with Military Honors will be held in the Massachusetts National Cemetery at a later date.
