

Born in County Wexford, Ireland on June 15, 1934.
Bridget’s early years were marked by hardship. As she lived and labored in the Couvents De la Madeleine.
At the age of 23 Bridget immigrated to Long Island, New York. Where she met USAF MSG Mitchell G. Gidycz and together they moved to California and they had 4 children Mitchell Verne,
Michelle, Kathleen and Stephanie though their paths eventually diverted they still were devoted to raising their children with dignity and grace.
In 1976 Bridget settled in Sandwich where she became a cherished and respected member of the community! Known for her sharp wit and endless trove of stories.
Bridget was a fixture at the American Legion Hall BINGO every Wednesday and never missed a Sunday morning Mass at Corpus Christi. Her warmth and humor touched everyone she met
Bridget’s life was not defined by the hardships she endured, but by the joy she created in spite of them. She found happiness and purpose in her children and her faith and many friendships she nurtured along the way.
She’s survived by her loving children Mitchell Verne, Michelle, Kathleen and Stephanie along with her grandchildren Daniel, Kellan, Patrick, Liam, Siobhan, Juliana and Alexandra and 9 great grandchildren.
She will deeply missed, lovingly remembered and forever honored.
A visitation will be held at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, located at 154 Route 6A, Sandwich, MA, 02563. The visitation is scheduled for August 9, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
