Carlton Joseph Welch of Yarmouth and formerly of Sandwich died on November 5, 2013 at the age of 84. A veteran of the US Navy, he was the husband of Doris (McNamara) Welch, who died in 2010, and the father of William Welch and his wife Catherine of Nassau, NY and Thomas Welch and his wife Patricia of Forestdale. He also leaves six grandchildren: Thomas Jr., Kevin, Cara, Joseph, Amanda and Devin; two great-grandchildren: Thomas III and Jonathan and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Francis Welch, Robert Welch, Jr. and Lorraine Bylander.
A visitation will be held from 12:30 pm until the time of the funeral service at 1:30 pm on Friday, November 8, 2013 in the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd. in BOURNE. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
