Carmella Mildred Killeen

Carmella M. “Dolly” (Bruno) Killeen, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2016 at the McCarthy Care Center. She was the beloved wife of Paul J. Killeen for 67 years. Born in Somerville, MA, a daughter of the late Ignazio and Maria (Baldasarro) Bruno.

Besides her husband she is survived by her children, Paul D. Killeen and his wife Tina of Somerville, MA, Richard T. Killeen and his wife Julia St. Lawrence of Sagamore Beach, MA, Deborah A. Killeen of Yarmouth Port, MA and Laurie M. Beitler and her husband Paul of East Sandwich, MA; 7 grandchildren, Jessica, Jennifer, Justin, Richard, William, John, and Jaime and a great-grandson, James. She was the mother of the late David Killeen.

Dolly spent many years taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren. The bond she shared with her grandson Justin and her granddaughter Jamie was one that they will carry on in their hearts forever. Dolly will be sorely missed by so many. She was a one of kind wife, mother, nana and friend with a heart of gold. She was married to her beloved husband Paul for 67 years. She enjoyed spending time with her daughter Laurie and son in law Paulie who provided her with the loving care she deserved and was so thankful for. Her son Rick also helped in so many ways to keep her in her home where she belonged. She loved taking trips to go shopping with her “baby girl” Jamie or going to play at the casino with her dear friends Marylou and Jackie. We would like to thank the staff of the VNA and Hope Hospice and all who took care of her during these last difficult years. We are blessed to have the support of many friends during this very sad time.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi Parish 324 Quaker Meeting House Road East Sandwich, MA. Interment is private.
