

Born in Waltham, MA a daughter of the late Frederick “Leo” and Catherine (Burke) Norton. Sister of the late Thomas, Frederick, Richard and David Norton.
She was an active member of Corpus Christi parish. She was a Eucharistic Minister, member of the Woman’s Guild, a volunteer at St. Theresa’s Helping Hands Thrift Store and ran the Collation Committee. In 2024, Carol was awarded the Marian Medal for her myriad activities and volunteerism for the parish.
In 1993, Carol was professed into the Secular 3rd Order of St. Francis of Assisi and in 2003 joined the Knights of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem. In 2005, Carol and William made the pilgrimage to Jerusalem with other members of the Holy Sepulcher.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her children Laural Riddle, and her husband Todd of Jacksonville, FL, Kerin Cummings, and her husband Michael of Brandywine, MD, William Jr and his wife Cheryl of Livermore, CO, John and his wife Renee of Ashland, MA, Dana Taylor and her husband Christopher of Franklin, MA and Janis Redding and her husband Michael of Merrimack. NH. Her grandchildren Jessica, Ryan, Ian, Katherine, William III, Catherine, Alexandra, Sarah, Justin, Caisy, William, Josephine and great grandchildren Carson, Ava and Ella Carol. Also Cassia Campoy of Jupiter, FL and her 2 daughters Ana Carolina Coelho and Ana Livia Jardine.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held on January 28th from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 154 Route 6A Sandwich, MA. Funeral Mass on January 29th at 11:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Parish 324 Quaker Meetinghouse Rd, East Sandwich, MA. In lieu of flowers a charitable donation may be made to The Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Burial services will be at a later date.
