I got to know Carol (Nanny) through her loving daughter Kathy. Carol welcomed Kathy's friends like they were her own family. She was always so generous and invited anyone not from the Cape to 'come visit her'. She adored her grandchildren and treated their friends like additional grandchildren. Carol was always interested in the lives of others and truly cared about them. She was a true example of how to take a life long career (in her case nursing) and transfer it into continued care and assistance for others. Her empathy never stopped for those around her. Her desire to help any way she could was a shining example of why she was loved by so many. She touched everyone she knew and we will remember her always.

Carol was an inspiration and mentor to me over the years, as well as a good friend. She always made time for her friends and would be there for you no matter what. She was full of life and I loved being around her. She will be deeply missed ! Maureen

It's difficult to share all of the memories that I have with mom but I will always cherish the unconditional love that she had for all four of us kids, her grandchildren and the countless friends. She never had a bad thing to say about anyone (even "dumb dumb"). I hope to live up to her expectations and look forward to seeing her when my time comes. Love you forever.

Wow - I am practically speechless. I loved Carol as a second mom. She was without the best person I know. I have known her for over 30 years. She has been a part of every milestone of my life. I loved all of her children, specifically Peter, who was my fraternity brother. I shared wonderful memories of her on the cape. She was the best and I am beyond sad that she is gone. I know she is in heaven and it is my sincere hope that she is drinking lots of vino with my dad also in heaven. rest in peace. Condolence to all four of her children.
