COLLERAN, Carole (Young), 76, of Forestdale, MA passed away at home on October 2, 2019 with her loving husband by her side. She was born to Richard and Thelma (Levaggi) Young on October 6th, 1942 in Brockton, MA.
Carole grew up in Brockton and attended Brockton schools, graduating from Brockton High School in 1960. She worked for the lawyers at Liberty Mutual as a claims clerk before marrying and starting her family. Carole moved to Forestdale in 1976 with her husband Jimmy and raised her family as a loving mother and devoted wife. She worked in food service for the Sandwich public schools until her retirement. She was devoted to her faith and was a parishioner at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Sandwich. There, she taught Sunday school, served on the altar guild washing and ironing linens, and volunteered her time for decades. Carole loved her home and made it a warm and special place to be. She was the most loving grandmother, spoiling her grandchildren with gifts, treats, sleepovers, and lots of love. Carole put others before herself and wore her beautiful smile always, even when enduring life’s most difficult times. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Carole leaves behind her husband James of 48 years, their son Timothy and his wife Caroline of Mashpee, their daughter Jill Mamet and husband Matthew of Marshfield, MA, and grandchildren Colton, Carston, Juliet, and Luke. Preceded in her passing was her daughter, Erin.

Thinking of you all right now.....a few minutes past 1000am. It's a difficult and sad day. Most memories I hold of Carole are from when we were children. Being the youngest cousin, I was happy to spend time with Carole and Debbie and they were always kind to welcome and include me. Later on I joined Carole to take tap dancing lessons one night a week. We weren't that good but had fun trying and laughing the whole time. This probably led to our enjoyment of Zumba now for her in Massachusetts and me in Virginia. I've dedicated my Zumba sessions to her this week and think of her as I jump around to the music I know she enjoyed as well. She had a hard time but can rest now remembered with warmth and love from all who were lucky to know her.
