

Mr. Stutzman moved to Sandwich in 1978 and continued his career as a parole officer for the Cape and Islands.
He grew up in the Roslindale/West Roxbury section of Boston. He received a bachelor’s degree from Boston College and a master’s degree from Northeastern University. He was an adjunct professor, teaching sociology and criminal justice at various colleges. He and his family operated the Jewel Box in Sandwich for 30 years.
A veteran of the US Army, Mr. Stutzman served in the Korean War.
He leaves his wife, Jean (Flynn) Stutzman, and three sons, Michael Stutzman and his wife, Nina, Paul Stutzman and his wife, Terri, and Brian Stutzman and his wife, Christine. He also leaves four grandchildren, Jonathan, Jessica, Catherine and Elisabeth.
Visiting hours will be held from 4-7pm on Tuesday, March 27th at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 154 Route 6A in Sandwich.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1pm on Wednesday, March 28th at Corpus Christi Church, 324 Quaker Meeting House Road, East Sandwich with burial following in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the McCarthy Care Center at 73 Service Road in East Sandwich.
