Daisy R. Spencer, of Great Bend, New York, and formerly of Sandwich, Massachusetts, passed away on Monday April 2, 2012. She was 89 years old. Daisy was born on August 28, 1922 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Frank and Leah (Fox) Tinkham. Mrs. Spencer worked for the U.S. Army as an Administrative Assistant in the Accounting Department. She is survived by a daughter Karen Wennerstrom and her husband Victor, as well as four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Daisy was preceded in death by her husband Roy Spencer. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 6 at 1:00 PM at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 154 Rt 6A in Sandwich. Burial will follow at the Sandwich Town Cemetery.
