When he returned from his service, he ran his family business, Knowlton’s Garage, alongside his brothers and son. You could always find him out back in the junkyard with his torches or driving his front end loader. Back in the day, he and life long friend, Jimmy Gibbs Sr., could be found at the dog track, win or lose, mostly lose, they always had a great time.
David was a kind gentleman who loved to care for his animals over the years, from goats to dogs. Lastly being his dog, Jax, and alpaca, Patrick. He took great pride in his vegetable garden, growing his famous tomatoes.
David loved and enjoyed spending time with all of his grandkids: getting ice cream with Sophie, late night talks with Branden, inquiring who won during Sunday's golf outing and asking if it was 'Squash' (aka Josh), or if Vinny had finally passed him.
