

Donald F. Price, 86 of Sandwich, MA died peacefully at his home, on June 14th in the company of his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Elizbeth (McKearney) Price. They had just celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary this past May.
Born in Boston, MA August 22, 1928, he was the son of the late George and Anna (McDonald) Price.
Don was educated in the Boston schools and a graduate of Hyde Park High School, in the class of 1946.Don was a veteran of the Quarter Master Corp in the U.S. Army, with a tour of duty in occupied Japan from 1946-1948 and a Master Plumber and Gas Pipe Fitter at Texas Instruments in the maintenance department for thirty years.
He was a lifetime member of St. Johns Knights of Columbus #404, an active committeeman for troop #37 Boy Scouts and a communicant of Corpus Christi Parish in Sandwich, MA.
Donald and Elizbeth were married in Attleboro on the fourth of May in 1957. Don and Betty both loved the Cape and moved to their home in Sandwich following his retirement. For many years, they wintered in Fort Lauderdale. Don was a mariner through and through, and loved spending time out on the water and was forever content out on his boat, the Sand Dollar or simply sitting by the Cape Cod Canal watching the marina. He was an avid follower of national politics and he loved to spend time with his family and have a good laugh.
In addition to his wife Elizbeth, he is survived by his son Kevin P. Price and his wife Kathryn of Ashland, his daughter’s Donna M. Price and BethAnne and her husband David Hollett, as well as his pride and joy, his grandsons Brody, Garrett and Ethan Hollett whom he cherished. Additionally, he is survived by his brother William Price of East Falmouth, sister-in-law Anne Price of West Bridgewater, his only sister Ann Garafano and her husband Raymond of Marstons Mills, brother-in-law Robert and his wife Sandra McKearney of Attleboro. He will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Robert A. Price.
A funeral Mass will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am at Corpus Christi Church ,324 Quaker Meeting House Rd, East Sandwich, MA 02537.
Burial will follow at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
