Dorothy Ida Donovan

SANDWICH – Dorothy (Dot) I. Chaulk Donovan, 88, of Sandwich, passed peacefully, surrounded by her children and other loved ones, on Feb. 7, 2015 at Falmouth Hospital. She was the wife of the late Timothy J. Donovan II.

Born in Cambridge, MA, she was the daughter of the late Heber and Caroline Chaulk. Dot was a Registered Nurse and worked in the medical field for many years. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother.

Dot’s six children and their significant others include, the late Timothy J. Donovan II, of Bristol CT; Dana J. Donovan and Michele Lepine of Cromwell CT; Barbara A. Ridgway of Kingston MA; Thomas B. and Jody Read Donovan of Toronto, Ontario Canada; Mary A. Donovan of Kingston MA; and Elizabeth D. and Michael D. Thomas of Sandwich MA. Other family included two sisters, the late Estelle MacCutcheon of Melrose MA; the late Joan Graves of Saco ME, 21 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren as well as great-great grandchildren.

A “Celebration of Dot” gathering will be held Saturday Feb. 14, 2015 from 1 – 5 pm at the John Alden Club, 6 Minuteman Lane, Plymouth, MA 02360. A private burial will follow at a later date.
