Elizabeth J. "Betty" O'Hare

Our beloved mother, Elizabeth Jean O'Hare, lost her battle with sarcoma at The McCarthy Care Center on Tuesday, May 26th 2015. She was 69.

Born, November 13, 1945 in , to James H. Killoren and Henrietta J. Carpenter, she graduated from Somerville High School.

She married Robert M. O'Hare on August 21st 1965.

She lived in Forestdale and worked at Cut Above as the owner/beautician and then at Great Lengths Hair Salon as a beautician until retiring in November of 2011 after over 40 years of being a hairdresser.

Betty was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Osterville, Massachusetts.

Betty will be especially remembered for her kind, loving nature and big smile. She was always helping those in need and spreading love and joy to everyone she met.

Her greatest joy and achievement in life was her role as a Grandmother.

Survivors include her husband, Robert M. O'Hare, her brother James Killoren and his wife Carrie. Her son Scott J. O'Hare and his wife Kelly A. O'Hare and their son, Zachary S. O'Hare. Her daughter, Kimberly J. Brubaker and husband Craig D. Brubaker Sr., their children, Craig D. Brubaker Jr. his wife, Meredith Brubaker, Kyle J. Brubaker, Amber M. Brubaker, Mitchell R. Brubaker, Emily K. Brubaker, Ethan T. Brubaker, Lily G. Brubaker and Owen M. Brubaker. Son, Matthew P. O'Hare. Daughter, Katie E. Wright her husband Scott H. Wright and their children, Brooke E. Wright and Brayden J. Wright.

Betty was preceded in death by her mother, Henrietta Killoren, Father, James Killoren, and Grandsons, Jamie Michael O'Hare and Mark Robert Brubaker.

A wake will be held at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home at 154 MA-6A, Sandwich, MA 02563 on Friday, May 29th from 4pm-8pm. The Funeral will be held on Saturday, May 30th at Faith Baptist Church at 11:30 am at 245 Osterville West Barnstable Rd. Osterville, MA 02655. The burial will be held immediately after the funeral at Sandwich Town Cemetery on Rte 130 in Sandwich MA. Location of additional gathering to be announced following burial.
