Eugene Clarence Marrs Jr., “Gene” Passed away on April 22, 2026, at the age of 91. Eugene was born in Sidney, Ohio on January 30, 1935, to Eugene Marrs Sr. and Edna Marie Webster Marrs. Brother to Linda Krasa of St. Cloud, Florida, David Marrs of Corry, Pennsylvania, Daniel Marrs of Columbus, Pennsylvania, and Rose Etzel of Las Vegas, Nevada. He is predeceased by his siblings James, Richard, Jack, and Margaret. Gene is survived by his 4 children, that he shared with Delores Cash, and their families. His son Eugene Marrs III and his wife Kim of York, SC; Eugene’s 4 children Eugene Marrs IV of Forestdale, MA, Julie Burkhead of Staunton, VA, Jessie Marrs of Stuarts Draft, VA, and Greta Marrs of Maulin, SC and Kim’s 2 children Helena Morrow of Colorado and Marissa Morris of West Virginia. His son Timothy Marrs of Kansas; his 4 children Rhonda Vanzant of Texas, Danielle Stacy of Kansas, Caroline Marrs of Kansas, and Mary Marrs of Kansas. His son Robert Marrs and his wife Cheryl of Forestdale, MA; Their 3 children Jennifer Barac of Falmouth, MA, Robert Marrs Jr. of Forestdale, MA, and Kyle Marrs of Sterling, MA. And his daughter Regina Marrs of Spokane, WA. Gene is also predeceased by his loving companion, Pam Sinks.

Gene was in the Air Force as an Airman 2nd class radar technician but was medically discharged after 10 years. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge. Gene worked as a mechanic for many businesses, and He owned his own business, Gene Marrs Enterprises, for many years in Sandwich, MA. He loved tinkering with anything mechanical.

Services for Eugene will be held Thursday April 30, 2026 at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 154 MA-6A, Sandwich, MA, starting at 11:00 AM and will be followed by a burial at Sandwich Town Cemetery, 231 Route 130, Sandwich, MA 02563 at 1:30 PM. We invite you all to join us at the Valley Grill, 309 Old Barnstable Rd, Mashpee, MA 02649, afterwards for a celebration of life.
