He was the son of George Alfred Jessop, Sr. and Florence (Searcy) Jessop.
George (fondly known as Jeff) worked as an architect for many years at Nordblom Company and graduated from Wentworth College and the Boston Architectural Center. He loved to fish and play golf with his brother Francis (Fran).
George was a member of 3 Masonic lodges; Cotuit, Mariners and Washington Lodge in Rhode Island. He was also a member of The Knights Templar.
He is survived by his brothers: Francis Jessop of Pembroke, MA and Henry Jessop of Harwich, MA.; as well as his nieces: Lisa, Dawn and Leslie and nephew, Hal; Fran's significant other, Jane Shineberger, and too many friends to list.
A visitation will be held for George at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 154 MA-6 Sandwich, MA on August 22, 2024 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. A funeral mass will immediately follow at St. Peter's Episcopal Church 421 Wianno Ave Osterville, MA 02655 at 11:30 AM. Burial at a later date in Needham Cemetery.
