Jason Drew Crowell
September 4, 1989 – March 4, 2021
Jason Drew Crowell, of Sandwich, passed away peacefully with his parents by his side on March 4, 2021. Jason spent his life fighting Cystic Fibrosis and in 2018 had a double lung transplant. Jason was strong and was a fighter but his lungs succumbed to the rejection.
Jason was a fourth generation farmer, working with his family on Crow Farm. Jason loved working on the farm and being free outdoors. He was an integral part of modernizing the Orchards and Greenhouses. This was Jason’s dream to work by his father’s side and keep the family farm flourishing.
Jason loved playing and watching sports. Jason played baseball, football and basketball through School. Football was always his favorite. After he was out of school he played on softball leagues with his step father, where some great friends were met. Jason was also an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt, both with bow and gun.
Jason’s greatest love was for his son Hunter. Jason took parenting seriously and put his all into providing Hunter everything he could. He was homeschooling Hunter, teaching him how to be a good person and be considerate of others. The two of them spent every day together. They did everything together from walks on the farm, fishing, organizing their pokemon cards, working on a coin collection and having those down to earth discussions about being a good thinker and making good decisions. Jason knew his time with Hunter was limited and it was so important to Jason to leave Hunter with a good foundation. We are very proud of Jason and the drive he had to do his best while he was here with us. Jason will always be loved by his family and friends and will be profoundly missed.
Jason was predeceased by his brother Nathan Crowell and Grandparents Howard and Judy Crowell. Jason is survived by his son Hunter Crowell, mother Christine Drew and husband Nick Silva, father Paul Crowell and wife Ellen, Nick’s children Jessica and Brett, Ellen’s children Joe and Amy Ford, Grandparents Ronald and Polly Drew, Aunts and Uncles; Jody and Gary Fox, Randy Drew and Sharon Grenier, Lynn and Steve Smolinsky, Jean and David Fenton, cousins; Dan and Steve Smolinsky and Adam and Ben Fenton.

As a Crow Farm customer, I got acquainted with Jason at the farm stand and noticed his creativity and sense of fun. One year he carved or embellished pumpkins or gourds with unconventional faces. He was also good at decorating wreaths at Christmas time, thus supporting the efforts of Martha and Donna. I had the feeling that Jason was devoted to the Farm and to his family and am very sad indeed to learn of his passing.
With heartfelt sympathy to all Jason's family,

I am so sorry to hear of Jason’s passing. Jason was my next door neighbor when we were kids. I have so great many memories of playing outside until the sun went down, trading Pokémon cards and sledding down the big hill in their yard. Thinking of Jason’s family and loved ones, wishing you all comfort during this difficult time.

I am so sorry to hear of Jason’s passing. I am very fortunate to have been one of his teachers at the Wing School and to have shared in his journey with Cystic Fibrosis. He showed such courage and strength through difficult times...sometimes balancing school and his lengthy hospital stays . He was an amazing boy who grew into an amazing man and father.. Rest In Peace, Jason.

My heart is with Jason’s friends and family during this time of sorrow.
I’ll always remember Jason’s infectious laugh and “up to no good” smile as well as all the times he stole my lunch from “our” locker in high school. We certainly earned the superlative title of “Worst Drivers” at SHS and I will gladly carry the torch until we meet again.
Jason was an amazing father, friend and son.
A once in a life time person who touched the lives and hearts of many.
Jason, you will be dearly missed BUT never forgotten.
Love you, always. 💙

Jason, it's hard to find the words because I never wanted to write this again. You have always been the best big little brother Liz and I could have ever asked and stepped up when others were afraid to fill that void. I know you always took this job very seriously since the day Darryl left us and I want you to know you never once failed us as a brother, father, best friend and a son. You will always be my little brother I love you now go be with Darryl and watch over us all. Until we met again keep smiling.

My heart, prayers and love go out to all of you. Your life was filled with your two beautiful sons and so many memories for you to reflect on with the days ahead.
