Jennifer Ann McDonald, 49, died unexpectedly Wednesday, August 15 at her home in Sandwich.
She was the beloved daughter of Patricia Abbey (Murray) King of Sandwich and the late William George McDonald. She is survived by her grandmother, Cecily Ann Murray of Philadelphia and aunts, uncles and cousins in Vermont and Rhode Island.
Jennifer was born on September 17, 1968 in Burlington, Vermont. She graduated with honors from the Northfield Mount Hermon School in 1987 and attended the University of Vermont from 1987 to 1991. During that time she worked as a Senate Page for U.S. Senator Patrick Leahy of Vermont. Jennifer was an avid skier and taught skiing for several seasons at Sugarbush Valley Ski Area. She loved her role as the skiing “Sugarbear” for the children.
For the last eight years Jennifer took great pleasure in mentoring adults with developmental disabilities. She was to begin her final year in the R.N. program at Cape Cod Community College in September.
Jennifer brought great joy and a wonderful sense of humor to all who knew her.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 20th, at 11:00am in the St. John's Episcopal Church located at 159 Main St. in Sandwich.
Burial to follow in the South Chatham Cemetery in Chatham.
