December 27, 1934 – April 9, 2019
John W. Noftle Jr., 84, of Sandwich, MA and formerly of Mansfield, Everett, and Chelsea, MA, passed away at Bourne Manor on April 9, 2019. He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Patricia J. Noftle (Aldorisio), currently of Sandwich, his three sons John W. Noftle III and his wife Catherine of Franklin, Keith Noftle and his partner Kimberley Woodward of Blackstone, and Glen Noftle and his wife Kimberley of Barnstable, and his brother-in-law Paul-Peter Carr of Sandwich. John was the son of John W. Noftle and Etta Noftle (Baggs), originally from Newfoundland. John was born in Chelsea MA in 1934. He was an active member of Mt. Bellingham Methodist Church, where he met Patricia. They were married in 1958 and started their family in Everett a few years later. The family moved to Mansfield in 1970, where John and Patricia remained until they retired to Cape Cod. John spent most of his career as a manager in the lumber industry, also working for Engelhard in Plainville, MA and Motorola in Mansfield, MA. He had a love for classic and antique automobiles and a great respect for the highways and backroads in this country, always making sure that family vacations involved a long road trip. After retirement he enjoyed spending time at Falmouth Harbor watching the boats travel in and out. A private service was held for immediate family on April 11th at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home in Bourne. A memorial will be planned by the family at a later date.
