Jay was born in Concord, New Hampshire and raised in the small nearby town of Henniker. His energy and spirit for life began early with down-hill skiing, ice hockey, baseball, basketball, music, and art.
Jay was an extremely gifted and passionate guitarist and vocalist. He enjoyed sharing his love for music, through performing, and teaching his students who will forever carry a part of Jay with them. Jay also generously contributed his talents to various charitable causes.
He graduated from Sandwich High School in 2002 and went on to further his education at Cape Cod Community College (Associates in Arts) and UMASS Dartmouth.
Jay’s other interests included acting, magic, drawing, bonfires on the beach, and spending time with friends. He had a great respect for animals and was a practicing vegetarian for 20+ years. A genuine friend to all, his untimely passing leaves a void in our hearts that will never be replaced.
At night, when you see the Brightest Star twinkling above, you can be sure that Jay is playing that “Great Gig in the Sky.”
Beloved son, cherished brother and uncle, Jay will live on in the memories of his parents Becky and Dan, his sister Darcy, her husband Jason and son Liam, and many extended family members and close friends.
His Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in Corpus Christi Parish, 324 Quaker Meeting House Road Sandwich. Interment is private.
