Konstantinos Leo Piantes, 59, of Bourne, Massachusetts, passed away on September 8, 2026, at McCarthy Care Center in Sandwich, Massachusetts. He was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on May 15, 1967, to Leo Costas Piantes and Effie Piantes (Tsangarakis).
Known as Dean, he graduated from Arlington High School. Dean spent much of his life working as a mechanic most recently at Coastal Motors in Buzzards Bay, bringing steady skill and pride to honest work. His appreciation for cars and motorcycles was more than an interest—it was a lifelong passion, and those who knew him recognized the care and attention he brought to anything with an engine.
Above all, Dean cherished time with his children, Kismet and Jayden, and found his greatest comfort in being close to family. He also had a deep love for dogs and was especially gifted in training them—an ability that reflected his patience and quiet dedication. He is also remembered with affection for the companionship of his dog, Daisy.
Dean is survived by his two children, Kismet and Jaden Goldstein and their mother Anni Goldstein; his parents, Effie and Leo Piantes; his sisters, Mimi Piantes and Eleni Ducharme; his wife, Crystal Hartley; his niece, Zoe Rachon; and two nephews Randy, and Paul Fitzgerald. He was predeceased by his daughter, Amanda, in January 1986.
