Marc was born in Nashua, N.H. on April 16, 1953, son of Rita (Asselin) and Marcel dePontbriand. He lived and worked in Nashua for 29 years. He graduated from Bishop Guertin High School in 1971. He received an Associates Degree in Computer Science from Hesser College in 1983.
Marc was employed for 7 years at Dick Kinney Auto Sales, from the age of 13, where he developed a passion for auto maintenance and repair. He worked at Nashua Corporation for 10 years, becoming a quality assurance supervisor in the computer products division. He then accepted a position with Sentinel Technologies in Hyannis, Ma. in 1984. After settling his family on the Cape, in 1987 Marc built, owned and operated the Sagamore Car Wash and Detail Center. He was the subcontractor for his home in Sandwich, and either alone, or with the help of friends, enjoyed doing home repairs and remodels for multiple family members. Marc loved to travel and especially enjoyed cruises to the Caribbean islands, Mexico and Alaska. Once retired, he enjoyed woodworking projects, playing piano, excavating, being actively involved in his neighborhood, Lakefield Farms Association and spending time with his grandchildren and his dog, Mozzie.
