MARGUERITE "PEGGY" CASEY 1922 - 2018 she was born and raised in Longmeadow, MA. As Peggy Flood. Born in 1922, Peggy had a charmed life as an only child. She was the Princess. She attended Regis College and met the love of her life ,Tom Casey, who one night came to Regis as part of a chorus from Boston College. One of Peggy’s favorite stories was that he came just to see the girls at Regis because he could not carry a tune at all. They were married in January of 1942 during the war and raised their family in West Roxbury, MA. She was predeceased by Thomas S. Casey after 60 years of Marriage.
She was also predeceased by her Son,Kenneth Casey. She leaves her son Richard Casey and wife Linda Casey of Newton, her daughter in law Eileen Casey of Hingham, her son Stephen Casey of Walpole, and daughter in law Jacquelyn Casey of Chatham, her daughter Pattie Morrison and husband
Larry of Sandwich. She leaves Grandchildren, Ken Casey and wife Jen of Hingham, Amanda Flannery and husband Tim of Duxbury, Nolan Casey of Newton, Matt Casey and his wife Lisa of Bridgewater, Tom Casey and his fiancée Caroline of Cambridge, Caroline Widman and her husband Steve of Duxbury and Michael Morrison of Sandwich. She also leaves Great Grand Children, Emma, Liam, Colin Casey of Hingham, Lucas Casey of Newton,Ryan, Mae and Tommy Flannery of Duxbury, Grace, Holly and Rose

Family brought Peggy more joy than anything else in the world. She adored each and every one. She loved working in retail at Decelles in West Roxbury and Shoes & Bags in Sandwich for many years. As a younger women she was President of the Theresians, the local women’s club. She was also very proud of her work as a Fashion Show Commentator. She enjoyed golf and her many friends at Holly Ridge Golf club in Sandwich. Peggy was generous and loving and kind – and sometimes a bit feisty, but
always lovable. She will be missed, but she will be happy to be with her Tom and Ken again. On the day of her passing, February 9th, her oldest Grandson Ken Casey lead man and founder of Dropkick Murphys, was on stage in Copenhagen dedicating their version of Peg-O-My Heart to his beloved Grammy. A special memory.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 11:15 a.m. at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 154 Route 6A Sandwich. Visitation prior to service 10:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Burial is private. A luncheon in honor of Peg will follow the Celebration of Life. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Claddagh Fund Charity - www.claddaghfund.org/our-charities
