

Pearl Augusta Simpson, age 95, of Sandwich, MA, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2024 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born to Harold and Corine (Conrad) Wentzell. Pearl was the wife of the late Howard Simpson whom she was married to for 62 years.
Pearl grew up in Brockton and graduated from Brockton High School and the Brockton Hospital School of Nursing where she obtained her degree. She continued to work at Brockton Hospital for her entire nursing career of 42 years. Upon their retirement, she and her late husband moved to Sandwich where they spent many happy years on the cape. She enjoyed traveling with her late husband, spending time in Florida as well as trips to Alaska, Hawaii and Europe. She was an avid reader and loved her crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed many activities at her church including bible study, exercise class, the lunch bunch, and choir.
She was devoted to her family most of all. She is survived by her daughters; Jeanette Simpson of Sandwich and Joanne Brennan of Franklin, her grandchildren, Timothy Brennan and his wife, Rachel of Lakeville and Jessica Brennan and her partner, Phillip Lisonbee of Milton and her most treasured great grandsons, Jarred, Jackson and Aiden. She also leaves behind two sisters, Carolyn Costa of Hyannis and Joyce Margraf of Masphee as well as a brother, Russell Wentzell of East Wareham and is preceded by her brothers Roger Wentzell and Gordon Wentzell.
A memorial service will be held at First Church UCC, 136 Main St., Sandwich on Tuesday,
March 19 th at 11:00am with a reception starting at 10:00am.
