Richard Joseph England

He was born in Fall River, MA in 1943 to the late Alderick J. and Rosalie M. (Tetreault) England, the youngest of six children. He graduated from Joseph Case High School in Swansea, MA in 1961 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at the Fall River branch of Southeastern Massachusetts Technological Institute (SMTI) in 1965. He later earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Southeastern Massachusetts University (SMU) in Dartmouth, MA in 1989.

His professional career spanned over 40 years as a pharmaceutical salesperson where he earned multiple top sales awards with Eli Lilly, Bristol Myers, Novartis and several small startup companies. He was a member of Kiwanis International for many years and served in a multitude of roles including the President of the Kiwanis Club of Sandwich, MA and the Governor of the New England and Bermuda District. He enjoyed coaching youth sports teams his sons were on, helping kids learn bicycle safety with access to equipment and reliable bikes through the Kiwanis Bike Rodeo events, and volunteering in the community. He played tennis in the Sandwich Men’s Tennis League, enjoyed a round of golf with his friends or his wife Jackie, and was a long-time parishioner at Corpus Christi Parish.

He is survived by his children, Christopher England of Fall River, MA, Timothy England and his wife Mary-Nicole of Spring, TX, and Douglas England and his wife Heidi of Hudson, NH; grandchildren, Ryan, Joshua, Khayla, Shane, Danielle, Morgan, Thomas, Selene, Harrison and Anna; great-grandchildren, Anwar, Aaliyah, Maliyah, Jack, Chase, Norah and Rocky. He was predeceased by his wife Jacqueline (Gagne) England; brothers Arthur England and Maurice England; sisters Anita Berube, Loretta Lahaie and Claire Legault; and his granddaughter Ashley England.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday July 8, 2026, at Corpus Christi Parish 324 Quaker Meetinghouse Road, East Sandwich, MA. Burial to follow at the Sandwich Town Cemetery.
