Robert Franklin Simmons

Robert Franklin Simmons, 78, of Carver, formerly of Marshfield, died on August 3 at the Newton Wellesley Center for Alzheimer’s, Wellesley. He was the husband of the late Earlene V. (Rogerson) Simmons. He was raised in Hyde Park then Marshfield. Bob worked for the Marshfield Water Department for many years, later to become the Superintendent of the Wareham Water District. He was a resident of Carver and Marshfield for 30 years respectively. He was the beloved father of Beth Rushton and her husband, Steven of Millis, MA. Loving grandfather of Noelle Wilson and her husband, Keith and Scott Rushton and his wife Kate, all of West Roxbury. Great-grandfather of Emma and John Rushton and Violet Wilson. Brother of the late Joseph, Charles, and Arthur Simmons and Barbara Smith and Dorothy Peterson.

A funeral Service will be held Thursday August 11, 2016 at 10am in Nickerson Bourne Funeral Home, 154 Rt. 6A, Sandwich. Interment to follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Sandwich. Donations may be made to Constellations Hospice [email protected]
