Roberta L. Bradstreet

Roberta L. (Ouderkirk) Bradstreet, of Sandwich, passed away on Monday, June 30th, 2014 at her home at the age of 93. She was the beloved wife of Arthur R. Bradstreet with whom she recently celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary this past March 19th.

Roberta was born in Brockton, MA to the late Lester and Elsie (Anderson) Ouderkirk.

Mrs. Bradstreet was a graduate of the New England Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in 1942. She worked as a registered nurse at the former Goddard Memorial Hospital in Stoughton, serving as a full time supervising night nurse for 19 years, retiring at 59.

She was a faithful follower and servant of Our Lord Jesus Christ and was a member of the Covenant Community Church in Sandwich. She was completely committed to the well-being of her entire family as well as consistently exhibiting genuine concern for friends and people in general.

Besides her husband Arthur, she is survived by a daughter, Jan Bickerstaff (husband Charlie) of Southbridge, MA; 3 sons, Paul A. Bradstreet (wife Linda) of Yarmouth Port, MA, Peter L. Bradstreet (wife Betty) of Wareham, MA, David H. Bradstreet (wife Colleen) of Norristown, PA; 14 grandchildren, Timothy Bickerstaff (wife Kris), Scott Bickerstaff (wife Amy), Rebecca Bradstreet Davis (husband John), Douglas Bradstreet, Rob Cook (wife Jenny), Brien Cook, Linda Bradstreet Bishop, Brian Bradstreet, Janice Allaire Berlinsky (fiancé Rod Chudy), Susan Whetstone (husband John), Cathie Jones (husband Bob), Ray Allaire, Andrew Bradstreet (wife Ana), and Jonathan Bradstreet; 19 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Merton H. Ouderkirk and Donald L. Ouderkirk.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Covenant Community Church, 360 Quaker Meeting House Road East Sandwich, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations in Roberta’s memory can be made to The Covenant Community Church or to Bridge of Hope, PO Box 758, Hyannis MA 02601.
