He is predeceased by his daughter Caitlin of Brewster MA, his parents Ursula and John O’Hara of New York and his brother John O’Hara also of New York. He leaves behind his wife Susan of 44 years of Sandwich, MA, his son Peter O’Hara (grandchildren Thomas and Caitlin) of Farmington, CT, his daughter Kristin O’Hara (Nicholas Bonino and grandson Declan) of Sandwich, MA, his brothers Edward (Dianne) and Richard (Lori) O’Hara of New York and many nieces and nephews.
Thomas was born in the Bronx and called Brewster, NY his home. He graduated Merrimack College with a degree in Civil Engineering. He worked for Northeast Construction until his death. He was a proud member of the Eastham Elks serving on multiple committees and as exalted ruler. His siblings never understood his dual allegiances to the New England Patriots and the New York Giants but loved him anyways, but in the end he had forsaken the Yankees for the Sox!
A true gentleman to the end, Tom opened doors, held out his arm, showed up early to work through blizzards and always paid the tab. Tom O’Hara is a man that will be missed by many.
His celebration of life will be held at the Hyannis Elks on Wednesday 8/31/22 from 4-7PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Eastham Orleans Elks.
