Born in Hartford, Connecticut to the late Vincent and Diana(Galvao) Coppi. She attended Bourne High School, graduating in the class of 1948. After graduation she started working at what would eventually become Verizon, retiring after over 35 years of being with the company.
Virginia was a wonderful cook and especially enjoyed baking. Something she did often, teaching her granddaughter Chloe at a young age. Chloe and her Nana shared a very special relationship, one we would all love to have, which only grew stronger over time.
Virginia was a devoted mother, nana, sister and aunt. Her life revolved around her family. The love and joy she brought to us and her many friends will surely be missed.
Virginia was predeceased by her parents, her daughters Crystal Cowland and Darlyne Lazarus, and her former husband Jim Marlyne.
She leaves behind her daughter, Robin Marlyne; her partner, Mark Deitsch; granddaughter, Chloe Deitsch; sister, Eleanor Heckler; nieces Kara and Allison Collard and their children, Vincent and Kelsey; and special cousins, Joseph and Marilyn Vancini.
Services will be private with a Funeral mass at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Saint Jude's Research Hospital.
