Virginia Elizabeth Reynolds, 64, of East Sandwich, Massachusetts, passed away on October 11, 2013. She grew up in Worcester, Massachusetts as the second of five children of Clinton and Elizabeth Reynolds. She is survived by her four brothers, Douglas (Belmont, MA), Donald (East Sandwich, MA), Bruce (Ridgewood, NJ) and Robert (Richmond, VA); eleven nieces and nephews; and her uncle, Howard Sharpe of New York City.
“Ginge” graduated from Jackson College for Women (Tufts University). She worked for many years at the University of New Hampshire as academic administrator. Her avocation was art, and she taught college art courses in New Hampshire and Wyoming. She began working in black and white photography and moved to drawing, etching and printmaking. Ginge was a graceful, strong swimmer and loved the seashore. She could hit a baseball better than all her brothers. Ginge enjoyed art and literature in many varied forms.
Funeral arrangements are private, and she will be interred with her parents at Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The family suggests that contributions may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, or to any charity of the donor’s choosing in memory of Virginia E. Reynolds.
