

Alberto Sanchez-Moreno, 60, of Atlanta died on Sunday, the 13th of April 2014. Albert was a poster child for the March of Dimes in the 1950’s. A graduate of Georgia State University, he loved classical music, musical theater, and films. His knowledge of them was encyclopedic, and he used that knowledge as a master editor for Wikipedia and as a major contributor to the Internet Movie Database. He wrote movie reviews some of which aired on WABE radio in Atlanta. Albert was also a perennial champion of causes for the disabled. Surviving are his parents, Dr. Hugo and Mrs. Alida (Lala) Sanchez-Moreno of Atlanta, sister and brother-in-law, Ana and Randy Southern of West Chester, PA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Hugo and Kasia S. Moreno of Brooklyn, NY, Carlos S. Moreno and Genevieve Fairbrother, MD of Atlanta; nieces, Leora, Sarah, Grace, Emma; and nephew, Ian. A funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday, the 16th of April at three o’clock at All Saints Catholic Church, Dunwoody. Monsignor Hugh Marren Celebrant. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the March of Dimes, 1776 Peachtree Street, Suite 100, Atlanta, Georgia 30309.
