Anne Coen Albright Needham, 62, returned to her heavenly father on November 5, 2018 after a valiant battle with lung cancer. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.
Anne was born to Sylvester Paul Coen and Harriet Gunn Eicken in Miami, Florida on September 19, 1956. Anne was blessed with a large and loving family and an even larger circle of friends. Anne is survived by her husband, Ted Needham, daughters Katherine Anne Lexington (David Dees) and Christine Elizabeth (Matt Pearson), and her beloved grandchildren Adley Grace Pearson (2.5 years) and Wyatt David Dees (6 months), step-children Emily Lauren (Ken Griggs & Augustine James, 1 year) and Theodore Earle Needham IV and siblings Joe Coen, Robert Coen, Thomas Coen, MaryEllen Buffington, and John Coen. She is proceeded in death by her brother, William Coen; father, Sylvester Coen, and step-father Wilfried Eicken.
Anne was a dominate force in the Atlanta real estate mortgage market for 30 years. She was a loyal employee to Bank of America, Jenny Pruitt and Wells Fargo. She manifested her true calling and became a well-known artist. You can find her work in local Atlanta galleries and throughout the country in the homes of private collectors. Whether at boot camp classes, ALTA, traveling or marathon races, Anne was always up for a new adventure and excelled in everything she did. She found the most joy in her life when she became a grandmother and loved spending her time with her girls and their babies. Anne will be remembered for many things, but mostly for being an authentic caring friend to everyone.
A memorial service and mass will be held at Saint Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 7171 Glenridge Drive, Atlanta GA 30328, on November 9, 2018 at 11am. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to ArtReach Foundation. Artreachfoundation.org, 404.850.1012
