

Mrs. Eross, a beloved and vibrant soul, was born on November 20, 1933, in Lima, Peru. The daughter of Aurora Zoila Jaramillo and Ernesto Infante Dextre. She spent her early years making lifelong friendships and building cherished memories at La Villa Maria Academy High School, where she studied in English and learned French.
Aurora moved to the United States in her mid-twenties, residing with her cousin and his family, the Figueroas, in New Rochelle, NY. She began her career as a reservations supervisor with Pan American World Airways at Grand Central Station in Manhattan. Aurora’s work with the airlines allowed her to explore the world, sharing many travel experiences with her father, her husband, Julius, and daughters, Elizabeth and Sandra. In her later career, Aurora worked at IBM until her retirement.
Known for her infectious personality and genuine warmth, Aurora brought laughter, joy, and comfort to everyone she met. She had a passion for dancing, cooking, and hosting gatherings that brought people together. She enjoyed shopping, and even at 90, never missed a chance to get her nails and hair done. Mrs. Eross delighted in learning about new cultures, played Charades with enthusiasm, and peacefully enjoyed her word search books. She cherished every moment with friends and family, especially her four grandchildren in New York and Georgia.
A devout Catholic, Aurora devoted much of her time to the church, and her faith was a guiding force throughout her life. She was an extraordinary presence and a source of light for all who knew her. Aurora will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
Mrs. Eross was preceded in death by her late husband of 53 years, Julius Eross, and is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Eross DeRosa (Michael), Sandra Eross Gurley (Todd); grandchildren, Christina DeRosa, Alexander DeRosa, Liam Gurley, Cassidy Gurley; and sister, Rosita Infante Delarosa.
The Funeral Mass will be Friday, November 22, 2024, at 4 o’clock at Saint Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 7171 Glenridge Dr., Sandy Springs, GA.
