Ben A. Spalding, 77, of Dunwoody, died February 13, 2012. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Phyllis Spalding; children, Mark Spalding (Karen), Renee Bitting (Sean), Matthew Spalding (Katrina); grandchildren, Ethan Bitting, Maxwell Bitting, Sierra Spalding, Harper Spalding, Courtney Powell, Coleman Powell; and brothers, Len Spalding (Susan), John Spalding. The family would like to extend a warm thank you to the staff at Wellington Court and Vitas Hospice for the care that Mr. Spalding received. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 41 Perimeter Center East, Suite 550, Atlanta, GA 30346. A Funeral Mass will be Friday, February 17, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church with The Rev. Joseph Peek as the Celebrant. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd, NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
